OnlineGamingLeague Season 6 Rules & Regulations.

Downloads

- All drivers in the league will need - RFT2010 1.0 and any updates throughout season including helmets, track updates, skins and any other updates that is released by admins.

- No driver is to make any modifications to the physics of the mod, the dedicated server is set to not accept mismatches. If a driver has a mismatch it needs to be sorted before race day.

- No driver is to redistribute the Mod to anybody outside of OGL community unless you have permission from OGL Admin. The reason for this is that the mod is private. Any one found guilty of this will be punished and possibly banned from the league.

Drivers & Teams

- Custom Teams/car Skinning is allowed but will have to passed through league admin, Custom teams will also need to be passed through OGL Admin as there is only limited spots, when skinning the following conditions must be met 1 - skins must look like the team u drive for 2 - both cars must be the same apart from numbers and name 3 - Must have some link to Formula One.

- A team manager can only sack a driver under justifiable reasons ie - lack of attendance, poor behaviour etc. A team manager wishing to fire a driver should contact admins to ensure the situation is dealt with 'trouble free'.

- Setup Sharing is highly encouraged, obviously set information info u dont have to reveal but generel help and getting everyone up to speed will be better racing. IF YOU NEED HELP WITH SETUP THEN PLEASE JUST ASK.

- It is up to the team boss of each team to control the driver on the track, if your driver keeps breaking rules and you are unable to control him, then you team will receive a race ban.

Schedule

- The Season Schedule is laid out by league admin and is final, if the schedule changes for some reason it will only be done by OGL Admin.

- The league will take breaks at set points of the season which will be planned by OGL admin and a 'season break topic will be announced' these breaks are final and non negotiable

- Race weekend layout - The race weekend consist of :

SATURDAY 2000 - OFFICAL PRACTICE SESSION - 1 HOUR
SUNDAY 1900 - QUALIFYIGING - Q1 Q2 Q3
SUNDAY 2000 - RACE DAY

QUALIFYING

QUALIFYING FORMAT - Q1 - 15 Minute Session - Top 16 go through to Q2 the remainder stay in that grid slot for the race.
- Q2 - 15 Minute Session - Top 10 go through to Q3 the remainder stay in that grid slot for the race.
- Q3 - 10 Minute Session - Decides the remaining top 10 cars for the grid.

There is no limit on the number of laps a driver can do in the alloted time of the session, you can do as many laps as you can within the given time.

You CAN NOT run you car so light that you cant make it back to the pits, you must have enough fuel to do the lap, and drive back to the pits (This includes the end of the session) any driver that does a lap and then stops on track and presses ESC will have there quali time deleted from that stint.

Be sure on out laps and in laps you do not block another driver on a fast lap, if a driver on a fast lap is blocked then a DT will be applied to your car before the race.

RACE CONDTIONS

Race distance - 100%
Tyre Wear - Normal
Fuel Usage- Normal
Damage - 60%

Traction - Low/Medium - F8
ABS - Low/High - F9

RACE RULES

- Recon lap (pit will be open for 3 minutes be sure to not go out to early and overheat your engine and allow your tyres to get to cold) - All races will start with a recon lap leaving from your grid slot, drivers must take care during this time and must always leave a minimum of a 4 car gap. when approaching grid slow right down when taking your slot. If you do not make it to the grid dont worry it will put u on your starting grid for the start of formation lap. DRIVERS MUST BE OUT OF THE GARAGE WHEN THE FIRST COUNTDOWN ENDS AS THE PITS CLOSE AT THE END OF IT AND WILL START FROM THE PITLANE!

- Formation Lap - once all drivers are lined up and the countdown has ended drivers will embark on a formation lap. The pole leader is responsible for pacing the pack, again drivers must leave at least a 4 car gap, if a car goes off or spins they must rejoin the track only when it is safe to do so, if a driver is behind someone and they spin then they should carry on as normal. When reapproaching the grid slow right down and if you have to pass someone who is already lined up to get to your grid spot then the middle lane of the track must be used to get there.

- NO RESTART so all drivers must take care. If a driver causes a restart due to many cars beinG out of the race or having problems, then that driver will recieve a quali ban in the following race. It is also league etiquette that if a driver disconnects

- Refuelling is banned for season six. Once you have put fuel in before you start then that it is. It is up to you to manage your fuel accordingly.

- A driver must complete 75% race distance to earn points even if they retire after 75% points will still be awarded.

RACE CRAFT

OVERTAKING CAR : If you're attempting to make a pass up the inside, and don't have 1/2 a car overlap when the lead car turns-in to the apex, you must give way. If you try to pass around the outside then exiting the corner you must be fully along side the other car, otherwise they are entitled to take the normal racing line, which may include pushing you wide. In the event that they do start take you wide, you should fall back behind the other car as safely as possible.

LEAD CAR : If you're being overtaken on the inside, and the overtaking car has 1/2 a car overlap or more, you cannot force your racing line and must allow them the apex. Remember be safe and fair.

Defensive driving. Swerving on straights to block another driver is not allowed. Blocking is only allowed under the following condition: - The lead cars have the right to choose their own line down a straight. They may make one move to block an attacking car to protect their position while on a straight - but then must maintain that position as long as the attacker remains affected by their position. Then, naturally, as they approach the next corner, they can of course return to the racing line of their choice for the corner.

- If contact with another driver is your fault, and they are disadvantaged, you must allow them to regain the position immediately - even if it means you lose positions to drivers not involved in the incident. IF YOU CANT PASS CLEANLY DONT PASS UNTIL YOU KNOW YOU CAN.

- Drivers must take care when re-entering the track - If a driver spins or goes off the circuit watch your mirrors to allow people through safely. This also includes leaving the pitlane - drivers MUST not cross the white line, if a driver gains an advantage over another driver or causes an accident an after race penalty will be applied.

- Corner Cutting/One Tyre Rule - A driver must ensure that there is at least one wheel on track at all times. If a driver cuts a corner we there by mistake or not they must lift off the throttle to lose the advantage that has been gained, if a driver cuts and gains a place u must give the place back immediatly, the same goes if you are the leading car if you cut and gain advantage you must allow the car through. Corner cutting will be penalise after the race if nessesary.

POST/RACE & PENALTIES PROCEDURE - Drivers appealing about an incident must wait 24 hours after the race in which to 'cool off' before appealing, on the Monday directly after the race the penalties section will open for drivers to appeal and OGL Admin will post any penalties being issued there also. Drivers will be informed of the decisions by the Wednesday in the penalties section of forum and given 24 hours to dispute it and provide supporting evidence (such as their own recorded replay) in their defense. OGL Admin's final ruling on their appeal will be final. This is racing, stuff happens..

Extra Penalties

- False Start - will incure a drive thru penalty - DO NOT TAKE THE DRIVE THRU UNTIL YOU SEE A MESSAGE TELLING YOU TO TAKE IT THIS LAP.

- Speeding in pitlane - will incure an automaitic stop and go - DO NOT TAKE THE DRIVE THRU UNTIL YOU SEE A MESSAGE TELLING YOU TO TAKE IT THIS LAP.

- Causing an avoidable accident - if a driver causes an avoidable accident or crashes due to reckless driving a 5 or 10 grid place pen will be applied at the next round.

- Abusive Behaviour - Abusie behaviour will NOT be tollerated. A driver who is abusive on server at any time can be given a race ban, suspended race ban and even exclusion from the league.

- Drivers appealing about an incident must wait 24 hours after the race in which to 'cool off' before appealing, on the Monday directly after the race the penalties section will open for drivers to appeal and OGL Admin will post any penalties being issued there also. Drivers will be informed of the decisions by the Wednesday in the penalties section of forum and given 24 hours to dispute it and provide supporting evidence (such as their own recorded replay) in their defense. OGL Admin's final ruling on their appeal will be final. This is racing, stuff happens..

- Chat is completely banned during quali and race as it puts drivers off, chatting is allowed during testing unless stated by admin, no driver is allowed to type in frustration at another driver, proper decorum should be maintained at all times, a driver using foul or abussive language will be kicked and possibly banned by OGL Admin.

- In the case of an incident occuring where no rule is laid out we will try and apply official FIA rulings and a new rule will be made.

- At any time a rule may be added, adjusted or deleted by the League Moderators.

OTHER

Fuel mix - You need to assign buttons to your increment boost and decrement boost - this acts as a fuel mix and can be adjusted in car whilst driving e.g. to save fuel or to save your engine at the end of race to stop engine failures.

Brake Bias - You need to assign buttons to your brake bias Front and Back - you can adjust brake bias in car during race.

- Note for people getting break failures-

After doing many test, we have worked out that its not just brake duct that causes brake failure,
If you are racing someone, and you tap them causing you suspension to go yellow, this can effect your brake duct, crushing it so no air gets to the brakes,

Also when following people for a long time, it might be worth ducking out of their slipsream, to cool engine and brakes faster
